This year marks the 30th year of the Burnaby 30-Something Women’s Soccer League!
Reaching 30 years is an incredible accomplishment for a volunteer-driven sporting organization. It reflects the dedication of the many women who have served on committees, organized events, led fundraisers, and helped build the welcoming community that defines the Burnaby 30-Something Women’s League today.
Over the years, our members have supported countless community initiatives while also creating something equally valuable: lasting friendships and a strong network of support for women in Burnaby and beyong.
Fun facts about the league today:
- 210 players in the league
- 9 dedicated teams
- Average player age: 48
- 3 mother–daughter pairs playing together (2 on the Rebels!)
- Most common names: Laura, Michelle, Stephanie, Kate
- 45% of members live and/or work in Burnaby
While we’re proud of our history, we’re even more excited about what comes next. Throughout this anniversary year, we’ll be sharing stories from our community, highlighting members past and present, and celebrating the impact this league has had across Burnaby.
If you’re already a member, thank you for being part of this community.
If you’re new here and curious about joining, we’d love for you to explore the site, learn more about the league, and connect with us.
Here’s to 30 years of community — and many more to come.
